Getting Ready
Summer is upon us. Those that are involved with politics either do one of two things .... go to the beach or work their ass off trying to turn things around.
Philadelphia is a tough town for Republicans. All the pundits say to forget the city - Republicans will never win - Lost Cause - they say.
Well, I have been fighting that attitude for the last 30 years (I must be crazy....) Anyway, we must keep trying - Philadelphia is going down - especially with this Budget garbage.
And it's all run by Democrats.
Make Philadelphia Live Within Its Means. Preserve Pennsylvania's Treasury.
Make Philadelphia Live Within Its Means. Preserve Pennsylvania’s Treasury.
By J. Matthew Wolfe
Greetings from Philadelphia. Weather is hot and humid. Business climate is oppressive.
Philadelphia’s Mayor and City Council want to raise Philadelphia’s sales tax to 8%, fully 33% more than most of Pennsylvania. Fortunately, they need State Legislative approval to perpetrate this lunacy.
2010 - The Time for Change
All of you who have been moaning about the Philadelphia Republican Party will have the opportunity to effectuate change in the 2010 elections.
New Committee People elected in 2010 may provide new Ward Leaders. Ward Leaders vote for Chairman or Chairwoman of City Committee.
Ward Leader incumbents should be filling their holes within their wards now. Election Boards should be filled by the 2009 General election.
Here Today - Gone Tomorrow
Arlen has left the fold ......oh sorry, old news.
or was it no news?
Arlen is still our Senator ..... unless he gets beaten in 2010. And the plans to do so are cooking. Lots of people are jumping into the Toomey wagon even though the pundits are calling for Tom Ridge......
There may be a Primary after all ......
New Projects with cuts and layoffs

Look at your strengths …write them down. And then put down all the things you Like to do.
President's Day 2009
Well, I got the day off.

Happy I have a job to go to tomorrow and worried about those that don't.

Bright Lines and Full Disclosure - Testimony to Mayor Nutter's Advisory Task Force on Ethics and Campaign Finance Reform

Fiscal Responsibility Should not be a Crisis Issue
The fault of the current budget crisis facing Philadelphia is not fully on the shoulders of the national economy, but on the shoulders of Mayors John Street and Michael Nutter.
This is good news because it means that Philadelphia can control its own destiny by implementing fiscally responsible budgets that are resilient to fluctuating national economies.
To start, we need to understand why this is a budgetary problem and not a national economic problem and then we can look at how to fix it for the future.
Report from the Campaign Trail - Adam Lang for Congress
10/25/08 - written to L.O. from Adam ......
As many of us on the group know, getting editorials published in the
Inquirer has been very tough for us. With the group, I have
personally had a variety of articles published in the Public Record,
Daily News and The Bulletin. The last time I ever got something
published (and it wasn't through the LO) in the Inquirer was a letter
to the editor I wrote in response to Dwight Evans saying we need a
Constitutional Convention ... and they stuck it in the Currents
section.
Crazies at the Bellview
So I got the call. Can you drive motorcade for Sarah Palin this weekend? (Oct. 11 and 12) Sure can!
So we were at the airport waiting for her plane to land. On the tarmac was the Obama plane - waiting for their guy to arrive. Well, when he did I never saw so many police vehicles and "black" police cars. I heard that his life has been threatened 4 times already .....
But that is another story.
So Governor Palin comes in after Obama's plane leaves. We get in the motorcade and off we go to the Bellview for a big ticket fundraiser.
